4th September Catching Up

Full of energy and awake early (mist outside but warm) so decided to join my walking buddies for the weekly Monday walk. It had definitely warmed up by the time we met up and when we'd finished our 2 laps of the lakes it was mid 20sC.

A warm one today 😎.

Then it was back to hang out washing and get a couple more loads done before Ian and I headed out to visit family members. After a spot of hoovering (yes I know, a shock toy system as well) we returned for a late lunch in the sunshine. With all this sunshine I feel myself getting acclimatised for the forthcoming Spanish weather.

Freddie's vegetable patch is coming along well producing courgettes, tomatoes and peppers. I must say I'm very impressed with the amount growing. There's loads in the fridge and samples of them all were used in tonight's dinner.

This evening, after dinner, we met up with Pauline and Tim in The George in Trosley. Never been there before but really enjoyed it. As it was a warm evening we started off sitting out in one of the wooden gazebos with fairy lights before moving into the pub when it got cooler. A great evening with lots of laughs especially when Pauline thought her coat was a cat (don't ask 😅) and when there was a spot of confusion over the venue for a forthcoming holiday - only 3 months until our next catch up.

We'll start getting ourselves prepared for our trip to Spain on Friday tomorrow. Our list of things we have to get needs working through so that'll be one of our first jobs in the morning.
