So we started off in Argos, for replacement pillows for the apartment, before going to the Post Office to return our old French motorway tag (replacement one activated and ready for the autoroute tolls). Then we went via B&Q, to buy more kitchen tiles to complete the splashback in the apartment, and on to Tesco for a few food essentials (branston, picallili, tea bags, marmite and squash - no equivalents in Spain 😁).
With it being another sweltering day we enjoyed driving with the roof down. A late summer down here in Kent - perfect for us to get used to the heat.
Later in the afternoon, once Amy had finished work we drove over to King's Hill for a potter in the shops. Amy had a productive time coming home with 3 dresses.
Can't believe that Asda are selling Christmas chocolate already 😱.
Once Freddie had returned from work and had a bit of a scrub up we enjoyed a fun evening with the Tassells. Spaghetti Bolognese with all the Italian extras, followed by puds and some recently purchased Belgian chocolates. A bit of a lucky dip as the labels had fallen off the packets - but delicious 😋.
Tomorrow we'll have to get on with seriously working out what we'll need for our next few months in Spain. How many pairs of shorts should I pack? Will I have enough wool, sewing stuff and books to read?🤔 Well, something to contemplate tonight and sort out in the morning.
