We managed to squeeze Rolo into a miniscule parking spot (the parking abilities of the French, German and Spaniards hasn't improved) and headed into the market. A few bargains today and strawberries at €2 for 2 large punnets.
After the market we extended our walk around Empuriabrava having a good nosey at canal side properties and the boats.
With clear skies the parachuting was going at full throttle so on our drive there and back we saw them floating in. Then over lunch back on the balcony we could watch them in the distance.
A sunny afternoon on the balcony working my way through a double omnibus of books by Robin Cook (not the old MP). Also a dabble at suduko and a bit of tapestry.
Tonight we went out to La Cassola for dinner so an evening off washing up and cooking for both of us. As we both felt quite full after our lovely dinner we decided to walk along the beach front to Roses to see the sand sculptures (we'd noticed when we've seen them during the day that they have candles so thought we'd go and see them with their candles lit).
The moon was just coming up as we walked along (this photo doesn't show you how good it actually looked).
Anyway we got to the sand sculptures or where we last saw them.
All gone! Ian can't believe I made him walk all the way into Roses to look at a pile of sandπ
. The 3 that we've seen several times have totally gone. Maybe the council decided in a no sand sculptures policy from the end of September π€.
Anyway on a positive note we had a good walk and must've burnt off the pudding.
Tomorrow we're planning on a trip out - yes, shock, horror we're not going to the Roses Sunday market π
.
