15th September A Damp Evening

As forecast the morning started off on a good note and by the afternoon it was starting to drizzle.

So based on the forecast we made the most of the sunshine and walked to Roses marina - a good 12k steps today. On our way we stopped to watch a yacht anchoring a bit too close to the beach and well in the marked bathing area. We waited to see if anything was going to be done to direct the skipper to outside the zone but nothing happened while we were watching. Something must've happened though as by the time we passed the same spot on our return the yacht was anchored safely.

The air and sea temperature are the same today.

There are new rails in the sea to assist those with poor mobility to go for a swim.

Also new lifeguard towers this year.

We were admiring a sand sculpture and noticed a wheelchair and bike leaning against the shower. Hopefully no one decides to have a rinse off otherwise the seats will get a tad soggy.

Back at the apartment more work goes on in the garden. Looks like 2 palm trees are also on their last legs. I'm sure they'll have more attention over the time we're here.

Despite the weather looking a bit dodgy Ian was on a mission to do his daily swim. I decided to take a few photos so opted to stay shore side.

It started to drizzle as we arrived on the beach so it soon cleared. Ian headed in for his swim and I sheltered under a tree, wrapped in a towel. Luckily my book didn't get too damp.

This evening we've had constant rain but it's still warm. It's due to stop overnight so we should be good to go for the first market of this trip over here 😁.
