30th August A Bit of Filling

So this morning we made a start on DIY. First part of our project is to prepare the surfaces of the walls. Lots of filling where the electric wires have been channeled in the walls and cleaning where the plasterer got a bit enthusiastic with slapping on plaster.

After a trip out to collect some filling materials and a mixing bucket we made a start.

Thinking about it. This was an area that needed lots of work.

Starting work on where the roof had leaked and the ceiling was a bit saggy.

Ready for sanding and painting tomorrow.

We decided by 6pm that we'd had enough and the workers downed tools for dinner. A quiet evening in watching The Repair Shop - we might get some inspiration 😁.
