Ian just before a seagull attempted to dodge in for a snack. It was scuttling about on the harbour wall so we had to keep moving our bag to keep it at bay 😀.
This evening we enjoyed a meal up at The Pepper Pot which I only found out recently that named after the old New Quay lighthouse that resembled a pepper pot. It was originally built in 1839, destroyed in a storm in1859, rebuilt and destroyed again in 1937. New Quay doesn't have a lighthouse anymore but does have a light at the end of the harbour wall.
On our walk back we watched the RNLI on a training exercise with their new boat. An ideal opportunity to walk off a lovely dinner and stop for a coffee.
With only a few days to use our last NT voucher I think we'll pop over to a local NT property tomorrow near Aberaeon. A chance to buy some more wool for my next crochet cushion cover 😁.
