17th August A Lovely Summer Day

We're really making the most of our decent weather as we're expecting it all to come to a rather damp end on Friday.

This morning Ian tackled the issue of the scratching and squeaking undergrowth on the outside of the van. It's right above our heads in our bedroom. He had given it a good go about a week ago but it needed some more pruning.

The broom brought into action again to help grab the overhanging brambles. With a saw and snippers Ian has done a great job and only came away with a few scratches.

We had to have a sit down to recover from all the hard work done (well I was providing crew support by handing over tools as required 😀). Sitting outside the van we had quite a chat with people walking by so it was very sociable.

As low tide was about 4pm we took a beach route walk after lunch into New Quay. With it being such a lovely sunny day we just had to have an ice cream on our way back! 

We keep being told the weather is changing tomorrow but we can always be optimistic and hope for a dry day 😃.
