This morning we enjoyed our stroll up to the top to watch the match on the big screen. Had the lounge to ourselves, made ourselves comfy with our coffees and front row seats and saw the girls win. We'll be there again for the final on Sunday, when I imagine a few more people might make the effort to go to the owners lounge for the match.
It must've been sunny as I've got my hat on! We're pictured here on the narrow country lane back to the van with either damsons or slow growing on the trees behind us.
Damson or sloe? The fruit are the size of large blueberries so I thought they're too small for damson. If they are I'm not sure if they're ripe as they were pretty sour.
This afternoon Ian has been making peanut cookies as we attempt to use up ingredients in our cupboard. I've been chief taster - basing myself outside finishing my book featuring Sergeant McRae. Now onto a Peter James tome 'Absolute Proof' - nearly 700 pages long so that'll keep me going for a few days 😃.
Another dry and sunny day forecast tomorrow, so we better make the most of our 3 day summer. It looks like rain on Friday!
