15th August International Apostrophe Day

Sign outside a block of flats:
Residents' refuse to be placed in bins.
Remove the apostrophe and you see a different notice. Rose Wild's article in Saturday's The Times kept me enthralled with the use of, or rather misuse of, the humble apostrophe. I thought I'd share this with you as part of the day to celebrate!

Anyway I didn't come across any apostrophe bloopers today on our day out in Carmarthen. We did however enjoy a movie - Gran Turismo. Based on a true story of a Cardiff lad who played a racing car game of the same name. He won the opportunity to drive real racing cars as part of the Nissan GT Academy and showed how it was possible to become a real racing car driver. Real edge of your seat stuff.

Afterwards we had late lunch and then had a sunny stroll up to Carmarthen castle ruins.
Last time I was here it was pouring with rain.

I didn't have any old fruit and veg 😀.

We had a great day out and even manage a bit of Christmas shopping. I wonder if we'll be off on another jolly tomorrow 🤔.
