10th August Up to New Quay

Low tide was just after 10am this morning so we headed out into this morning's sunshine for a beach walk into New Quay.

Cei Bach this morning - looks like the recent storm has moved lots of pebbles off the beach.

The main New Quay beach was heaving with holiday makers.

A cuppa, a read of the papers and a view over the bay.

After our chilled morning we walked back for a late lunch before I got a bit energetic and made a start cleaning the van.

A before picture showing a bit of a grubby van. With a broom, bucket of water and the hose I made a good start on the job. I didn't want to overdo it and do it all today so I've left some to do tomorrow 😊. Once it's done I'll post an after pictures (if I remember 😀).

With the sun still shining it seemed a waste not to sit and read outside. I had a break to make a batch of flapjack in time for a tea break and continued on my outside rest entertained with a Stuart MacBride book.

This evening, now that I've finished all the wool, I've made a start on a birthday present.

Hopefully this will keep me busy until I can source some wool.

It's possible there might be some wool up in the New Quay Friday market. So I guess I know where I'll be in the morning.
