I stopped off to ask the security team how to use the fob to get the barrier to open, (the one that I had difficulty with yesterday). Apparently you just fob the keypad with the numbers on it - unfortunately not logical to my small brain. I'd expected to see a place specifically for a fob. Anyway I've seen it in action so I'll be ready when I drive in next time.
Continuing into New Quay I went to the weekly market held in the Memorial Hall. It was quite busy but I was disappointed that the Avon lady wasn't there this week as I'd hoped to buy some new nail varnish for my toes. My current varnish is getting a bit gluepy so it's not the easiest to apply.
After leaving empty handed I headed to the harbour to see if any dolphins had been sighted. However, looking at the swell I wasn't surprised as the sightseeing boats were slopping all over the place. There was a yacht anchored outside the harbour and it reminded me of when we were on a mooring outside Tenby harbour for the night. The washing machine feeling!
I completed my circuit, after a coffee and a read of the daily paper in the owners lounge, by walking along the beach as the tide had now turned and was starting to go out. With the sun still shining I sat outside had lunch and read until late afternoon when it started to get a bit cooler. I also got my gluepy nail varnish out and updated my toes.
The rain has come a bit early with a few showers this evening. Just waiting for the forecasted deluge to start in the morning unless it's come early and we're going to have it all night.
