15th July On My Travels

I spent this morning tidying cupboards and sorting out stuff to take to Mum and Dad's. Ian meanwhile has come to the end of his 3 weeks on Dartmoor with cadets and is looking forward to the next 2 weeks sailing with more cadets in Plymouth.

After several downpours I managed to get the bistro set in the van and dried off and Rolo packed. In between I watched the Wimbledon men's wheelchair semi finals - a thrilling match -  and did a bit more of my 'welcome' cross stitch. I'm looking forward to watching the finals tomorrow.

With lunch out of the way I headed off to Shropshire via Aberystwyth Tesco to get some cakes for my birthday tea on Monday. Then on through heavy downpours to Mum and Dad's where the sun has been out since I arrived.

This meant I could help Mum secure the trellis she bought last time I was here. I also dragged bags of gravel round from the garage to help put more gravel on the path around the conservatory.

Trellis secured and honeysuckle woven through it.

So a very productive early evening. The rest I'll spend being creative with my knitting or sewing 😊.
