10th July Arrived in Wales

A day spent mostly sitting. Either in Rolo as I headed to Cwmbran to pick up Pauline, or in the cinema when I killed a few hours before picking her up.

Traffic wasn't too bad other than the inevitable delays on the M26 and M25 and I managed to make good progress with a couple of stops on route.

After collecting Pauline we started off on a scenic route, as I took a left rather than a right. But looking positively at the error we did see lots of countryside and narrow lanes that we wouldn't have done otherwise 😅. Eventually we got back to civilization and the M4 for the rest of the journey to the van only making one or two stops for a cuppa and a grocery shop.

On arrival it looks like all my hard work weeding the gravel parking spot has been overgrown. This is going to be one of my first jobs this week unless Pauline and I tackle them together. After emptying most of the contents of the car and sorting out bed linen and unpacking we tucked into pizza we bought in Morrisons near Carmarthen.

Both of us were feeling a bit pooped after our long days so an earlyish night (before 11!). Fingers crossed for a bit of dry weather tomorrow (rain currently belting down on the roof).
