9th June Got the Munchies in Scotland

An early start to Scotland leaving at 7.15am. Straight through the Dartford Tunnel without any hold ups and onwards to the M11. All was going well and then there was a sign warning of a vehicle fire. 

Again! We were held up earlier this week by a lorry fire. About half an hour of being stationary but in Rolo we had the roof down so could enjoy the sun.

Not much left. The passengers were all out safely and 4 fire engines in attendance.

We continued our journey up north stopping 3 times for breakfast, drinks and fuel. No more stoppages and arrived about 6.30pm.

Lovely to see Peter and Scott. Peter was pleased to try on his graduation outfit as I'd brought up his Mickey Mouse waistcoat.

Very snazzy in his current undergraduate gown. He'll wear a black gown and have a hood for his graduation ceremony on Tuesday. 

We shot out for a quick Sainsbury's shop and had a Scottish munchie box for dinner. Something new for us southern softies to try out.

Before - easily fed 4 of us. Definitely not something to be eaten on a regular basis 😅

After 😄

As Peter is moving out next weekend we have come prepared for cleaning and leaving the flat in a perfect condition. Tool box at the ready Ian has been sorting out dodgy lights in the kitchen. Hopefully by the end of the week everything will be shipshape, sparkling and in working order.
