10th June Secret Bunker Visit

Every time we've come up to collect or visit Peter we've never had the opportunity to visit Scotland's Secret Bunker. It's been the wrong time of year or we've forgotten 😄.

So today we got round to it! Driving through the countryside towards St Andrews we were directed up a track to a farm house. Hidden beneath it we discovered via a long tunnel the secret bunker. Here over 300 people could work 100 feet below ground in the area of 2 football pitches, 1 on top of the other, with concrete walls about 3m thick. If there had been a nuclear war this is where Scotland would have been governed from.

Seeing where the observation of a nuclear war took place.

Check out the old style Resus Annie

Peter taking control 😄

Love the hat 🤠

Back to Peter's after our trip out we've made a start on his garden.

One of Peter's neighbours seems to have a problem with their bin going missing.

Some serious mowing required. At least it's only the left half.

It needed 3 battery charges to get the front bit strimmed. Luckily we'll be using a mower for the lawn at the back.

A bit of a challenge watching the TV this evening as Peter's TV has a mind of its own and just turns down the volume on its own😅. Much cursing, button pressing, batteries removed and replaced in the remote control, bits of sellotape, fingers crossed and breath holding this evening. Has certainly made watching a film entertaining.
