18th June All Moved Out

Up with the lark (about 7 for us) we were getting on with breakfast in between packing bits and Ian opening his Father's Day cards.

Now I wonder who gave which card 🤔? 😄

Then we all headed to the Dunfermline storage depot to pick up the moving van.

As there had been a bit of a blip on Ian's driving licence (we discovered that it had expired 😅) the responsibility for driving was down to me. So yorkie bar in hand (if you're old enough you know what I mean) I was chief van van driver for the day.

Lady trucker 🚛

Back to Peter's flat we were a really efficient team getting the flat empty and spick and span by midday. After a quick video to record the state of the flat (definitely cleaner than when he moved in) and meter readings we were ready to motor to the storage facility.

A good van load.

But will we get it all in this small container?

Fortunately with expert packer Ian, everything went in.

This evening we've stayed at a Premier Inn in Dunfermline and enjoyed a lovely Father's Day meal out. We seem to have hit a glut of chocolate this evening. Bars of Green and Black chocolates given to Dads at the hotel and Yorkies in the restaurant (well as I had been trucking I just had to have one 😄).

Off down to Kent tomorrow so hopefully any heavy rain that is forecast will fall overnight so we can have a smooth trip back.
