We walked along the sea front with Peter continuing his recollections of being here during school holidays. He wasn't sure if he remembered where the market was but the memories of where to go came flooding back as we reached the citadel/fort.
Once in the market we were straight into browsing the stalls looking for sunglasses and a hat for Peter.
It is noticeable with the improved weather that what is being sold has changed from winter wear to summer clothing. Stalls full of swimming costumes, bikinis, shorts, t shirts and sunglasses. With several stalls selling €5 swim wear I just had to have a rummage. I've splashed out and bought a new cozzie - just hope it fits!
This afternoon has been warm but overcast. With a forecast of rain we weren't surprised to hear rumbles of thunder and luckily only had a short shower.
Tomorrow's forecast is looking good so we have our friend Richard joing us for a BBQ lunch. So I think I'll make a batch of scones for tea time in the morning.
