16th May Last Day

Today has been a whirlwind. Of packing up and the continued wind. I reckon I know what it's like to be in the North Pole. The constant wind must drive you mad!

We did venture out into Roses on the prom, which surprisingly wasn't too blustery. I did however manage to lose my sunglasses that got blown off my head when I 'd put my normal specs on to read something. I had to race after them for quite a distance as they tumbled up the pavement!

A bit breezy - again!

Whilst in Roses we found the public library as it had been suggested that they might want our unwanted books. They take the good quality ones so I'll sort out what we have and in September we can drop them off then.

Seems odd that you can buy knives and guns in the high street 

The drains are causing a problem again with some seriously suited, booted and masked men working on the problem. 

There was also a serious niff.

Love this cheap form of air conditioning.

We collected a trolley on the way up to the apartment so we could fill it up with our bags and belongings to start packing up the car. It was a bit of a challenge getting stuff in Rolo whilst trying to avoid the car door swinging open/closing in the wind, the trolley moving and bashing into the car and the boot being blown off! But we managed.

We're just about packed up so I had a shower to get my towel dry before packing up. I went outside to dry my hair - it was a bit like sticking my head in a Dyson hand drier that you find in public loos. Soon got my hair dry 😀.

We plan to leave after breakfast and we'll be staying at the same place we stopped at on the way here. At least in the car we won't hear the wind!
