17th May Homeward Bound

Woke at about 6.30am so we thought we might as well get up. After we finished packing, cleaning and stuffing all our last things into storage that we don't need back in the UK, we had the last few things in the fridge for breakfast (creme brulee for Ian). Sandwiches were made and then we were on our way by 8am.

It was still windy! And not just in Spain as it continued as we headed into France. I just hope it calms down before our ferry crossing tomorrow 😀.

Spain behind us and onwards through France.

We enjoyed a different route to Chateauroux (we stayed here on the way down) going through some lovely countryside and scenic views. Dinner was also in the same restaurant where the poor waiter was probably very confused as we kept speaking to him in Spanish. My brain wasn't quite in gear 😅.

Hopefully we'll wake early so we get to Calais in time for our afternoon crossing. Fingers crossed for a smooth trip across the Channel.
