The wind had calmed down this morning and we heard the plane taking off in the distance from the parachuting centre. A trip to see the parachutists landing over at the airport in Empuriabrava ensued.
Looking to take a few shots.
Afterwards we went to The Butterfly Farm, last visited by Peter on his last trip here years ago. Even since our visit here with Amy and Freddie in October there have been some slight changes as new plants have been introduced.
As soon as we entered Ian 'The Birdman' found a few friends.
This parrot took a particular liking to Ian's shirt and had a good nibble.
Ian doesn't look amused 😅
In the dark Peter used night mode on his camera to snap a picture of a bat hanging inside a cave.
We saw a butterfly emerge from its chrysalis.
It started off all crumpled and gradually took shape.
There were so many flying around that they would just land on you.
We had a great time there before returning to the apartment for a bit of on line job hunting with Peter. The weather changed and we had a short walk despite a sprinkling of rain.
It's been Peter's last full day - he's off to the airport midday so we'll be making the trip to Girona tomorrow.
