We had rain yesterday evening and overnight with a bit of a stiff breeze but by morning it had mostly dried. With it still blowing we took the route a road back from the prom. In so doing we came across a load of competitors in a triathlon, when we were nearly mown down by a large group of cyclists. Further up the road we came to where the competitors left their bikes, put on their trainers and started the running part of the triathlon.
We had a productive shop in the market as we bought some €1 items (jug, storage containers). Then on our way back we popped into Lidl to get some items that we didn't manage to get yesterday, when the other supermarket was stupidly busy.
By the time we returned the wind had seriously increased (known as the Tremontana in Spain). I sat in the sunshine outside the front door and with both that door and the French windows open it created a wind tunnel so the open door banged shut! So I had to sit there with the door closed behind me sitting in the sun 😎.
It hasn't stopped all afternoon and evening with the chairs initially being blown across the balcony until we stacked them together. Now with the windows and doors closed the wind is whistling around the corners - quite spookie!
This evening we made a start on a Channel 5 series - Under the Dome. It has 3 series so it'll keep us going for about a week. I've managed to finish my cross stitch so we'll have to see if we can find a frame for it.
Tomorrow is May Day so there's probably going to be an influx of holiday makers about but we'll see what we can get up to 😄.
