The main purpose of today's visit was to buy some strawberries, therefore to avoid carrying them about we started at the end of the market with the clothing, bags and kitchen goods and made our way to the fruit, veg and cheese end.
On our way towards the fruit and veg we stopped at a stall that makes colourful pottery where the potter was showing how he made his creations. He was handing out his samples and I didn't feel like I could say no when I was offered a pot 😄.
As it was still wet clay we returned to Rolo to avoid damaging it. Then we were back to the market again for strawberries. This time my eye caught some hats on display. Needing a more colourful hat than the one I used while sailing these fit the bill.
Despite our bit of a circuitous route we eventually found the strawberries. At €1 per 500g punnet we got two which hopefully should last until next market day.
On our way back we popped into the supermarket but soon abandoned the idea of shopping when we saw the queues. It looks like a load of holiday makers have arrived for the bank holiday weekend and gone shopping to stock up.
This afternoon has been bright and sunny so perfect for reading on the balcony. That was after I'd wet mopped the seagull poop off the tiled floor. It looks quite pristine now.
Tomorrow we're likely to see if we can get the groceries we didn't get earlier today. There's also the option of Roses market if we want to walk up there.
