A bright, sunny start to the day so a lovely walk along the prom to the market held behind the fort. The market was busy but we enjoyed having a good nosy round the stalls. I bought a bag for Amy (similar to one bought last year but larger) and Ian splashed out on a €1 pair of flipflops.
We took an alternative route back, as we wanted to check out plastic chair prices and get some tea bags. Our route took us round the back of the fort where there were some lovely poppy filled fields.
After our price checking it looks like the chairs from Carrefour are our best deal. So we'll have to take Rolo next time to get them back to the apartment.
This afternoon started off lovely and sunny on the balcony. So I made the most of it lounging and reading my book while Ian fell asleep on the sofa. He's seriously getting into siesta time 😅.
By 6pm the weather took a turn with dark grey clouds and rumbles of thunder. The wind has also picked up to the extent that the chairs were moving around the balcony! We've now stacked them up so hopefully they'll stay put overnight and the weather calms down for tomorrow.
