24th April Chair Challenge

A busy morning sorting out bills, necessitating a walk into Roses with a rucksack full of paperwork and a wodge of cash.

We ended up sorting out all the relevant forms and paying the electricity bill in the nearby post office. Quite an exhausting but productive few hours - Ian needed a much needed coffee before our return.

A sea view and a bit of sunshine

This afternoon Ian started off by sorting out our dodgy bathroom light switch. It needs a special knack to get it to work and unfortunately we know the people who rent won't have it. So Brains of Britain (Ian not me 😅) thought that we should swap the light switch with the one in the hallway, by the bedrooms which never gets used. After turning off the electrics and wearing his flipflops at my insistence (you can never be too careful and rubber shoes are supposed to be good in the event of any possible shock⚡) Ian soon had the switches swapped.

All sorted and both fully functional

After this success we jumped into Rolo and headed off to Carrefour to splash out on 4 new white plastic garden chairs to go on the balcony. On reflection we should perhaps have bought two at a time, as getting them in Rolo was a challenge. At one stage we nearly put them through the open roof but with a bit of jiggery-pokery we got them in. Now we just have to get them out, as they're currently still in the car, as we had our hands full with a load of shopping. A job for tomorrow.

Tomorrow we're looking forward to seeing our friend Richard from the Isle of Man for lunch. You may recall we originally met him over here a few years ago and then managed get together on our Anya sailing travels to the IoM last year. We're trying out a new restaurant based on the ground floor under the apartment.

Not far to stagger home if necessary 😀
