We've decided that during the summer holidays that we'll just have to make a really early start to try and avoid the summer exodus. This means we could be up exceptionally early on Friday when we head further south to Kent.
Anyway here at the van the reseeded bit of earth has certainly grown. We're expecting the lawn mowers around this week so it'll be interesting to see what it looks like after it's first cut.
Saturday morning we took ourselves over to Aberaeron to see how the sea defence work has been going. The inner harbour just looks like a mud bath and the flood gate is now in. Even though you can't go on the harbour wall yet, they've also put some benches along it so hopefully by our return after Spain we'll get to walk along for the first time in 2 years!
Today we walked up to New Quay by the road route as it was high tide. The alpacas were looking shorn - just a woolly head and a very short coat. Probably just the right amount for today as despite the cloudy skies it was fairly warm.
Ideal sitting outside and reading conditions. An iced coffee in one hand and a book balanced in the other - perfect!
