In between we went in search of a Cake Shed that Amy had found out about from a Mum who lets people know about family activities in Kent. The Cake Shed just happened to be down the road from Penny so it seemed like a sensible move to go and check it out on our way home from Penny. Apparently Cake Sheds are popping up in Kent.
The Cake Shed, for those who live in the area is open for business on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. It's situated down The Drive in New Barn. For those who don't know The Drive it's an unsurfaced, potholey road with no space to park. This meant we had to find a space to park on Pescot Road and walk down, dodging the potholes so the baby wasn't too rattled about!
Spotted on the road down was this amazing carvery in what looked like an old tree. Certainly an effective seat.
Tonight we all tried a quarter of the chocolate orange and Biscoff ones with salted caramel ice cream for our pud - delicious! We'll try out the other two tomorrow.
So far the chocolate orange one has my vote 😋.
After junior had a paddling pool bath in the garden, as it was so warm, we've been sitting inside with the french windows open listening to the rain. We're now waiting for the forecasted thunderstorm tonight.
