1 June Evening Storm

A lovely Sunday spent enjoying a walk up the prom to the market behind the citadel.

So much to choose from!

We've decided that the Roses market is the better one when it's busy. Firstly we don't have the parking issues (parking near the market and then trying to get a space on our return) as we can walk, and the market set up is much better as the space to walk in between the stalls is much greater. This actually allows space to stop and look rather than being part of the flow of traffic. It got a bit tidal at some points yesterday as we were 'floating' along.

After our productive market (Amy made a few purchases) we stopped for an iced latte before meandering our way back to the apartment via La Cassola to book a table for dinner.

We had a cooler afternoon out in the balcony as dark clouds rolled in and then the lightening started. Then the thunder started, a long way off initially but gradually it got closer!!

Luckily we headed off to the restaurant before the rain started.

We had a brolley though!

A bit of a treasure trove at the bins this evening with a sun umbrella and a sun lounger up for grabs. I have to stress that we don't go looking in the bins. It's just a bit of pot luck as to whether there are any usable goodies when you take the rubbish out. It seems to be that people stay for their holiday and bin what they either can't fit in the car or take back on the plane. If we canake use of it we do so I think the fold up sunlouger is coming back to the UK. With the hot summer forecast I hope to make use of it.

We also managed to time our meal so that it rained and rumbled while we ate and then stopped once we'd finished. Just the sort of rain I like!

We enter our final week tomorrow so we'll definitely be making the most of the warmth and sunshine.
