We eventually got to the beach today. Making sure we were there before it got too hot.
It was baby's first beach visit and it went very well. Even went in the sea for a swim and sitting on the water's edge waiting for the waves to come in.
We had a bucket and spade set which Ian made full use of. Quite the artiste with the shell decorations.
This evening it was mini golf over in Empuiabrava with our friends. 16 of us playing the 18 holes and staying on afterwards for a mini social. Ian managed to come in 4th and I was 5th (a hole in one helped with my score as I had several 8s!).
Walking back through our garden at the apartment we noticed some recently planted palm trees to replace the ones that had to be cut down. Unfortunately they don't look their best. Perhaps a good water is required now it's sunny - apparently April was a total washout but at least the reservoir is up to 80% capacity from 16% in March.
Unfotunately the Red Palm Weevil is still about - this is what kills off the palm trees. We spotted this near the newly planted palms.
