20 May Cauliflower Magic

A busy day for us all. Amy and I took a trip to Hobbycraft as I needed to stock up on wool. I'm making some baby hats for a national organisation and am running out of white - the main colour. They are made up with 3 different coloured stripes and luckily I still have enough of those colours. 

The knitting is always the easy bit with the sewing up being something I always leave to the end as it's the fiddly bit. Maybe I should sew them up as soon as I finish a hat rather than leaving it until I have about 20 to do. But that's too sensible!

We've also been out to visit friends this afternoon so that was a welcome break from decluttering one of the upstairs rooms with Amy. She's making great progress and we're gradually filling a donation bag ready to go out on Thursday for collection.

Freddie has been nurturing his vegetable patch. Up until now it looked like it was just leaves.

Today the cauliflowers have started to take shape. Although we're not sure how big they're going to grow. At the moment they're about a mouthful so in a few weeks time we might get a normal sized one 🤞🏼.

After dinner it was back to water the plants at our house sitting place. Ian might get a day off tomorrow as rain is forecast!
