I knew once we were the other side of Gretna Green that England was coming up, but I still nearly missed it!!
We stopped for our first break north of Penrith and we swapped drivers. I took the keys to put away stuff in the cool box and ended up misplacing the keys (they weren't lost as I knew I had them to open the car and put milk in the boot). But could I find them??
Anyway, there was no point making a fuss as I had Mum sitting in the passenger seat and Ian not far away. The pressure was on to find them before Ian needed them to drive!
So there I was taking out everything from the cool box, which of course had to be the furthest back in the boot. After rummaging around it was obvious they weren't in there. Then it was a process of taking everything out that I'd moved until I eventually found them nestled under a bag. No idea how I did that!
Then it was onwards for the remaining couple of hours before arriving back by late afternoon. Time for a cup of tea after lugging everything in.
Ian decided it was an opportunity to start on the gate repairs while it was still warm. Then tomorrow it'll be time to put on some wood treatment.
An evening then catching up on semi finals of Britain's Got Talent - still not sure why it's called 'Britain's' GT 🤔. Ian and I haven't seen any of the series so far - can't say we've missed anything. Doesn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary like the Paul Potts and Susan Boyles of this world.
Looking forward to another sunny day tomorrow.
