Today, however, Ian and I kept our feet dry as the tide was going out. Very different to Sunday's walk when we had to wade part of the way back.
The deckchairs were out on the grassy area by the Little Old Toll House, in between the locks at Allington. Just perfect to watch the activity at the lock side as we sipped on our coffees.
Later this afternoon, while Ian went off on CCF cadet duties at the school, I sat myself out in the garden to partake a bit of exterior book reading. Then it was off for a walk to get cheese for our dinner which we'd forgotten to get on yesterday's shop. You can't have pasta bake without cheese!!
Ian is all packed up and ready for the next few weeks. He's off on CCF camp until Easter so I'll be cracking on with curtain alterations and some dressmaking with Amy. Hopefully it's going to be a creative and productive fortnight.
