Anyway we were up and getting dressed and sorting out the last few things to be packed. I was doing my flamingo impression putting on a sock when there was an almighty bang!
Ian had pushed the packed communal trolley (an old Lidl one) out of the front door and left the door open. He then went out the patio doors to bring the sunloungers in for storage when there was a gust of wind resulting in the front door slamming shut. Oh well, pay back for being woken up several times by downstairs drilling and bashing in the early hours when doing their DIY!
We were definitely awake by this point, managed to get everything in Max and had left by 6.40am. Making good progress we stopped a few times on route for breakfast and lunch before arriving at our destination about 450 miles north, in Beaulieu Sur Loire by 5.30pm.
It was a very quaint, quiet French village. A church, town hall, a few shops, pizzeria, patisserie and cafe. All that we needed ... Or so we thought!!
After unpacking stuff needed for our overnight stop over we went for a walk to check out the pizzeria. Unfortunately it's closed on a Wednesday. No worries we thought as we walked to the other restaurant.
Luckily we'd brought along pasta and sauce just in case. We also have a few puddings that we'd not managed to eat so we're all set for an evening of Italian cuisine. Bon appetite!
