After sorting out our odd socks ensemble for the day we opened the curtains to a rather drab and dreary day. Then we looked at the weather at home in Kent to see sunny and 17C!! Guess where I'd rather be 😆.
Anyway we had a relaxing start to our day, had lunch and then went off shopping for some of the things (mostly booze) that we're taking back with us. Sugared nuts are still on our list as they seem to be elusive so far. Maybe they're more of a summer edible item 🤔.
After a productive shop we then drove up to Paulau- Savadera, which is up in the hills above Roses. We had been invited for tea with our Kent friends. Also an opportunity to check out their newly refurbished bathrooms which have been made into wet rooms. Definitely some food for thought for our apartment bathroom which needs a bit of an upgrade.
Tomorrow we're expecting better weather so are heading to Figueres as there's a doughnut festival. Although it could be something else if my translation ends up being a bit iffy! I'll report back tomorrow once we discover what it's all about.
