9 July Ludlow for Lunch

A bit of a hectic day today as we decided on a lunch out.

I drove Rolo so our first challenge of the day was getting mum in and out of it! She has now got the hang of sideways in and reversing out. Out causes the problems if she doesn't stand up enough. As Rolo's seats fold forwards this means there is a V shape to get in and out of so the lower you are the narrower the space. Not standing up enough causes wedge problems as a mum sized bottom can only reverse out in the mid to upper part of the V! I think we're gradually cracking the technique required 😃.

Anyway Dad was on top form walking about in Ludlow as we stopped for a cuppa, did some shopping and visited the bank. Being a Tuesday it wasn't market day but this meant the town was fairly quiet.

Ludlow is famous for the Feathers Hotel. It has been in business as a hotel since 1670.

Lunch was in a cafe/restaurant called Aragon just off the Town Square. Mum had recently taken the New Zealanders to eat there. I particularly enjoyed their spicy carrot and red lentil soup served with hot ciabatta. I'll have to take Ian there for lunch sometime.

A bit of a drizzly afternoon but that's always good for the garden. Not sure if our plans for tomorrow but probably here for a few more days.
