5 July Up to the Woods

Last night, or more appropriately early this morning, we finally made it back from the airport gone 1am. Amy and Freddie's flight having been delayed by an hour and then the M8 being closed for overnight roadworks causing a diversion on to the rather rickety A roads.

So it was a bit of a slow start to the morning but once we got ourselves organised we headed out for the day. We went north to the woods in Dunkeld for a walk in the unexpected sunshine (although we had our rain coats to hand ...just in case!).

Amy and Peter have had a good catch up this weekend.

Some amazing scenery with waterfalls creating quite a noise.

Lots of bridges spanning the river and windy pathways to follow. We were lucky to have a dry day with showers forecast up here.

On our journey home I spotted this registration. I took me a while with everyone chuckling when I worked it out 😃. It sounds better in a Scottish accent.

Back home for a much needed cuppa and an early birthday present 🎁 🎂 🎈. Time for a board game before we enjoyed an evening in.
