With the drizzle starting there was no walk on the books so I completed the first duck of my crochet project. Still needs it's eyes! Not sure how many I have to make but it's at least 3 hours a duck. Not including stuffing and sewing up.
The drive south was damp with a stop in Aberystwyth as I went on the hunt for a glass worktop protector. No luck so far but Mum has suggested Lakeland and Argos as possible sources to check out.
Just thought... I totally forgot to say I popped into the Heritage Museum in New Quay yesterday. I found out that there used to be an old lady who lived in a little house with her hens on Cei Bach beach in the 1800s. There were some grainy photos showing her in typical Welsh dress (black flower pot hat, shawl around her shoulders, smoking a pipe) with a chicken under her arm. She used to charge tourists a penny to tell their fortune! I'll have to take a closer look at the beach yo see if I can work out where her house used to be.
Anyway, this evening it's all about Trump's assassination attempt and England's demise in the footie. I think I'll do some sewing and turn off the telly 😃.
