3rd May Packing it In

Woke up to see snow on the Pyrenees in the distance this morning. Must be a bit chilly up there.

Meanwhile down in Roses with blue skies it gradually warmed up throughout the day. We even had the roof half down on Rolo as we drove to Girona airport to pick up Pauline and Tim who are joining us for the long weekend.

After a leisurely lunch we took an exploritory walk into Roses showing off the sights. Pauline's spotted all the shops en route.

After stopping off for a beach side ice cream and cuppa we ended up in the Citadel. Initially going in to check out prices we ended up going in. No idea what happened but ended up with OAP tickets to visit the Citadel and the nearby castle on Sunday for just €3 euro each. I think it was because at the ticket office we made a comment about the OAP prices and were laughing about having to wait a few years. Maybe the fella in the ticket office was feeling sorry for the us old codgers.

6.30pm and the sun's still shining.

Getting our steps in today.

We had originally planned to go back to the apartment for a BBQ but having only finished our tour of the Citadel after 7pm we decided on a meal out.

We finished our day off with a lovely evening stroll along the prom and back for a coffee and feet up.

Tomorrow is market day over in Empuibrava - another chance for a good walk. We'll need one after today's food and drink!
