21st May Quite Day Relaxing in Roses

A quite day but still managed to get quite a bit of walking done.

On our way out Ian managed to get a loquat today from the tree in the apartment gardens. So we had an official tasting. I can report that it was like a tart plum in taste and texture. So understandable for it to be known as a Japanese plum.

We sauntered along the prom to Roses in what was pretty decent sunshine. They're digging up part of the beach and laying down big lumps of concrete slaps. Not sure what they're doing so hopefully the end result will soon become clear.

The first sand sculpture of the year has been spotted!

After our glorious morning and walk we walked back with dark clouds on the horizon. A thunderstorm struck at about 3pm with lightening and heavy rain for about 30 minutes. By the time we made our way out for dinner it had all past over and it was drying up quickly.

We headed back up the prom for a meal at La Bajarmas but when we arrived it was closed. So we returned and ended up eating at La Bola round the back of us. A very filling meal and a decent wine as part of the menu.

Tomorrow I'm flying back to the UK leaving Amy and Freddie to be entertained by Ian. I hope to get my junior reporters to take some photos so you can see what they get up to as I head to Shropshire.
