17th May Peculiar Weather

Well my last few blogs seem to have featured the weather so I might as well continue on the theme.

The beach has had a bit of a spruce up having had the tractors out sieving the sand for rubbish. Getting ready for the weekend when we get the weekend rush (hopefully we'll be able to park Rolo when we head out for a drive).

We spotted the boat out laying the buoys demarking the swimming area and boat lane. Ready for the holiday makers hitting the beach. The loos on the prom have also opened for business.

Having found a bench overlooking the buoy laying activities we spent some time watching the progress of the boat lane (we reckon there's one buoy that should've been relaid as it's not in line). Then we watched the clouds starting to come our way so it seemed an ideal time to head back.

Only a bit of precipitation on the way back but we had plenty later in the afternoon. I managed to have a sunny sit outside getting on with my next read (Cat & Mouse by M.J. Arlidge - the next in the series about Detective Helen Grace). We then had a small thunderstorm before the skies cleared by dinner time (more unseasonable weather 😬).

8pm and it's still reading time. Can't believe we had a storm a few hours ago. This is what the normal weather looks like for this time of year.

Tomorrow morning we head over the border to Perpignan as Amy and Freddie join us for the week (better flights there but still going back via Girona). Looking forward to seeing them both and fingers crossed for some decent weather for the week.
