7th April A Quiet Sunday

A lovely lazy Sunday reading the papers, snoozing and managing to get a quick walk in without getting too wet. So not loads to report.

Mum served up a delicious roast beef lunch with all the trimmings. Roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and apple pie and cream for dessert. Yummy!

We managed to get out for a walk after lunch dodging the showers by nipping in the bus shelter and the telephone box/book swap. There are a few good books so I'll have to sort out some to exchange.

It's definitely a bit cooler than a week a go in Singapore! We haven't worn hats and scarves since the beginning of January so a return to some sunshine is very appealing.

Even the swans and ducks were put off by the weather. Not many on the water today.

This evening we've caught up on a few episodes of the latest series of Silent Witness, that we missed out on over the last couple of months. We're getting to be pretty good armchair detectives having worked out a few of the murders. It's always the person you least suspect or who appears for a few minutes at the start, usually wearing a hat or pushing a trolley 😀. Miss Marple and Hercules Poirot in training!

Not sure what we're up to tomorrow - we'll see what the weather's like.
