We made arrangements to meet up with a friend for lunch so had just enough time to walk up to Roses. The Roses 'train' was doing a roaring trade in rides around the locality now the rain had stopped.
Our lunch date was in a relatively new French restaurant opened nearby. Our first visit and we were impressed. We love good food for a decent price - olives and nuts, 3 courses and wine for €19.
I also enjoyed a typical French fish soup with all the trimmings (croutons, cheese and a garlic sauce) followed by lamb chops, saute potatoes and half a courgette topped with tomato, cheese and peppers. We'll definitely be coming back here.
Our lunch time conversation continued back at the apartment over a cup of tea and it was 5pm by the time our lunch date was over. Leaving us time to chill out and digest our lunch. I don't think we'll be eating much for dinner - no room in my stomach!
We're hoping for a continuation of dry weather tomorrow as there's a wine sampling day up in Roses. Something to visit at the end of our Roses walk and we might sample a few 😄.
