29th February Now in Oz

All timed to perfection today as we co-ordinated getting the car returned and bags checked in. George the car was due in at 9am which didn't leave much time for getting bags checked in. So the men dropped Amy and I off at the airport while they returned the car.

Luckily the car was returned as soon as the car hire opened their gates and they were dropped off at departures. Although I think they had a bit more of a challenging walk than Amy and I had with our loaded trolley. We eventually got everything sorted at the airport and we all managed to meet in time to have breakfast before we boarded.

A smooth flight with a tasty lunch and plenty of drinks before touch down. It was a tad warm on our arrival 🥵 but the air conditioning in the car was very efficient.

We're now staying in a B&B in Cooranbong about 2 hours drive north of Sydney and about half an hour south of Newcastle. With the time difference (2 hours behind NZ) we're having a quiet evening in. Well, nearly quiet as since our arrival here we've had some incredible lightning and thunderstorms. It's much cooler though so very welcome.

Tomorrow we're heading north on the Pacific Highway looking forward to a swim in Newcastle on our way.
