I had a lovely day with Amy while Ian concentrated on paperwork. Firstly we sorted out all our recent Christmas purchases to get them ready for wrapping. Then it was a major declutter as we rummaged around in the spare room looking for Christmas decorations from last year. We concluded that they were put away in the roof space so that's a job for tomorrow.
After throwing together homemade leek and potato soup for lunch we then drove into Sevenoaks to collect Amy's reading glasses. Apparently Sevenoaks is the happiest town in Kent according to a recent news article. We did come across some very cheerful and helpful people today so I think they're right!
This evening we helped Pauline at another wreath making evening.
Amy was really getting into the Christmas spirit. Helping out with demonstrating how to tie orange pieces and cones.
Pauline demonstrated how to make a wreath and then Amy and I worked together to complete it for her. I think it looks very effective 😊.
Tomorrow it's time for a hair cut - desperately needed. I'm quite looking forward to my pamper.
