3rd December All Best Made Plans ...

Our day seemed pretty well organised when we got up for breakfast but that soon changed!

We were supposed to be popping round to see a couple where we used to live but unfortunately they were poorly this morning. So instead of seeing them and then continuing with our morning we delayed our start in going to the Rochester Dickens Festival. Then as we were getting ourselves ready to go it started to pour!

The thought of being cold and wet whilst walking to Rochester from Strood, and then standing about to watch the parades of people dressed as Dickens characters was not appealing. So that got cancelled!

Instead we were invited over to catch up with Paul and deliver all the goodies he and Kate had bought whilst staying with us in Spain. A lovely morning with him before we popped into see Kate busy at work in Notcutts up the road. With their huge Christmas department she was busy.

Do people really spend that amount on an artificial tree? I think Ian was laughing at the idea.

I bought a lovely ponsettia for Amy. Our first Christmas decoration.

This afternoon Ian has been helping Freddie building a set of shelves from scratch. They managed to get the shelves put together before we met up with Amy after work to see the new Hunger Games film - the preview based on the HG books. Very good and gives any HG fan more of an insight into the Snow character.

The rain still continues this evening so tomorrow's Monday morning walk is going to be a coffee meet up. I'm looking forward to meeting my walking buddies 😊.
