Luckily before we headed out on our travels Ian realised that where we were heading to in Bexley is now in ULEZ. So we had to get out of Rolo and swap to Max, which we can drive without paying £12.50 for the privilege. Can't believe how far this Ultra Low Emission Zone is creeping out. It'll soon be out our way.
Leaving the rest of the motley crew behind to go swimming Ian and I first popped into catch up with friends Sandra and Brad. Lovely as always to see them and to make plans for them to come and see us sometime when we're out in Spain.
With a few chores taking us from Bexley to Rochester (for lunch and to pick up cinema tickets for tomorrow) and then on to Maidstone, we didn't get home until it was starting to get dark. Ideal for me as I keep forgetting to take Peter to see if he can get a decent photo of Aylesford.
Based over on the road bridge we had his camera on its tripod taking a 20 second exposure. In setting it all up we were doing everything by torch light and Peter was sitting on the floor. Much to our amusement, in the gloom, a group of old ladies were pottering past and offered help thinking Peter had fallen over. Shuffling along with zimmers and crutches I think they were returning from a Christmas jolly - I think the tinsel and hats were the giveaway!
Only 2 sleeps to go! Another busy day planned tomorrow and I'm sure we'll squeeze a walk in.
