14th December Knowledge & Nosh

A busy day, spent mostly with Amy who has a few days annual leave, getting ourselves Christmas ready.

After a trip via Sainsbury's to get Freddie a spot of lunch and an M&S pick up, we mozzied over to Pauline's for a catch up and present giving. Amy loved Harley the dog's homemade advent calendar - it had a tiny dog treat for each day until Christmas day 😄. 

Back home we then started on our decorating and tidy mission. With some homemade tomato soup cooking we tackled the lounge/diner. Now nearly squeaky clean and tidied (Freddie still has his heap of 'stuff' to re-home) Amy decided on a minimalist decor.

The nativity scene has made it's annual outing.

We've been making some hanging stuff. Going for a red and gold theme.

We unearthed some hats. Ready for carol singing tomorrow.

Getting down to wrapping!

Time was ticking along and I suddenly realised that Ian and I were due at the sailing club this evening. Luckily I remembered with just enough time to arrive in Gravesend in time for the Knowledge and Nosh night, i.e. a short talk (VHF tonight) followed by a meal. A lovely evening catching up with sailing friends and enjoying a delicious meal.

Tomorrow we plan to finish off decorating and wrapping. That certainly would be a good job done.
