After a leisurely breakfast we walked up to Roses for the market. Not because we particularly wanted anything but with Christmas looming there might be something. We had decided against the monthly bric a brac market in Castello d'Empuries as we don't really need anything for the apartment at the mo.
We passed this car parked literally covered in solar panels. Several on the roof, one leaning on the windscreen and another leaning against the concrete ball in front. Certainly taking Eco power to the extreme. On the way back we saw a kettle plugged in!
The market was relatively quiet but this is probably due to the number of tourists being dramatically reduced. It was quite lovely not to have to do battle trying to weave through meandering buyers just to see what's on the stalls. However today seemed to be a 'bring your yappy, growly dog to market' day. Several dog owners were being pulled along as their pooch decided that another canine needed seeing off with lots of barking and snapping!
A stop for a coffee and a freshly baked cookie in the sunshine where I noticed 30°C on the temperature gauge. It was pretty warm in the sun but we don't think it was that hot - unless we're just getting acclimatised 😄.
As we don't get the sunshine on the balcony until gone 2pm until 4pm we brought our books down to the seafront. A very relaxing Sunday just without the papers.
This evening we went down to the harbour to watch the sunset just after 5.30pm. As the sun is lower we can't now see it set from the balcony so we took a late afternoon stroll along the harbour wall to see it.
Walking back up the stairs to the apartment we spotted a couple of bats flying about. We're now intrigued as to where they live 🤔. Perhaps in a roof space as there aren't any caves round here.
I imagine we'll be out on a trip somewhere tomorrow. Either in Rolo or on the bikes depending on the weather.
