It was definitely a bit cooler on the balcony this morning. My personal bird scarer (Ian snoring in his hammock) had to abandon his mid morning snooze as he was getting a bit cold. So an ideal excuse for a walk along the front to Roses as the sun was out full belt when not in the shade. We soon warmed up.
Today the parrots were particularly active. They're either building nests or having a spot of decluttering - they were very busy chattering to each other as they dived in and out of their nests. Zoom in to see them on the right.
While we were sitting and watching the world go by we also watched the local council workers on tree duty. An efficient system of one man up in a crane thing squirting stuff in the top of the trees as his colleague followed in a dinky truck. His job was co-ordinating getting the generator, situated on the back of his truck, working and following along as the crane was manoeuvred along to each tree in turn.
We think there's an insect problem as there are 2 palm trees that have died back in our apartment garden that have been infested. We think it's a bit like termites with the inside of the palm tree being eaten and going rotten. Maybe it's the bed bugs that are causing problems in France on woodland holiday in Spain!
Anyway we've enjoyed another warm afternoon on the balcony. Lovely looking at the views, spotting parrots flying about and the occasional parachutist in the distance.
I've been working on my latest tapestry project. Using lots of left over wool I think this will end up as a cushion.
Nothing planned yet for tomorrow so see how we feel in the morning.
