29th May Power Boat Racing

We headed into the actual broad at Oulton after breakfast to find a spot where we could safely view the power boat racing. A mooring by a hotel ended up being an excellent position and no mooring fees required 😄.

So moored up we took the opportunity to have a walk. A potter into the nearby shops for a few items and back through the woods fitted the bill nicely.

Off on an adventure.

Spotted on the bridge over a railway - a bike groove. Not seen one of these before.

Can you see it? 😅 A camouflage boat.

Back on board we enjoyed watching the power boat races of a variety of classes.

One in this class flipped over and there was a full on rescue. The boat nearly sunk!

Ian joining in the race. We were definitely last.

After we'd had enough of the races we motored on towards Beccles where we'd hoped to moor overnight. But with only a mooring near the busy road bridge we turned and motored back in the direction of Great Yarmouth.

Moored at Worlingham. Otter spotting tonight. Too fast for me to get a snap but this is our dinner time view.

We're planning to cross Breydon Water on low tide tomorrow afternoon, as we start returning towards Stalham for the end of the week. So it'll be a busy day motoring.
