7th April Foodie Friday

Ian and I have the house to ourselves for the long weekend as Amy and Freddie headed to Wales early this morning. Party!!! 🎉 😅

Well maybe not a party but time to catch up with family and friends where possible. So after shopping for our catering this weekend we had a lovely lunch date with family.

Spotted this huge hot cross bun in Aldi. About the same size as a dinner plate! I prefer the normal smaller ones.

This afternoon I went and had a much needed hair cut - just getting used to not having to put it in a bun. Afterwards as the weather was still warm and sunny we went on a countryside and riverside walk up to Allington lock. A great way to walk off our Good Friday lunch.

It was great to see the little coffee shop on the lock still open - until 7pm now! So we managed to find a seat in the sun. Not as warm as Spain but just enough to keep the chill off.

Tomorrow is going to be a busy one. Coffee date in the morning, friends over for a walk and lunch and possibly a dinner date. We're going to be dieting and going on long walks as soon as we reach Spain to tackle the lbs I'm sure to put on over this weekend 😅.
